I have a Korg Triton workstation/sampler keyboard and,i'm
looking for two 32 Mo simm with these features :

This information is from KORG Inc.

Here are the requirements for Dram SIMM chips with Triton
products:
16 or 32 Meg, 72 pin SIMMS
Non Parity
Fast Page
60 Ns speed rating
AND...
11 Bit addressing
Addressing is very important -- it refers to the division
of chips on the memory module that make up the total amount
of RAM. In other words, a 16 Meg chip can come with 4 x 4
Meg chip configuration, or 8 x 2 Meg chips. As a rule, 11
bit address chips are multiples of 2 Megs to equal the
total amount of RAM. So you'd want a chip that has 8 x 2
Megabyte chips for 16 Megs, and 16 x 2 Megabyte chips for
32 Megs.
If you use a 16 Meg SIMM with a 4 x 4 setup, or a 32 Meg
SIMM with a 8 x 4 chip configuration, you're gonna get
static on the samples. (These by the way are 12 bit
addressing).

when i got my triton i just dug thru an old box of computer parts i had at home in the attic till i found some chips and i just stuck um in there. first i tryed one that was labeled 64mg and the triton saw it as only 16mg. then i tryed some really odd looking chips with no labeling at all and the triton saw them as 32mg each. so i went with it. there still working fine whatever they are?!?!
