The KN2600 looks very interesting. Notice the ability to use an SD Memory Card. Notice also the impressive speaker output 20w X 2 (40w total). Over 1,000 sounds. 34 Drum Kits. But the true misgiving of the KN2600 is that the Sequencer's timing resolution is only a piddlin' "96 PPQ". Compare that to the PSR 2000/2100 and Tyros's "1920 PPQ". But it's definitely worth checking out. Who knows, maybe the 96 PPQ timing resolution of the KN2600 will not be that big of an issue. Remember though, the higher the PPQ "Parts Per Quarter Note" timing resolution a Sequencer has, the more life like and real a recorded composition will sound plus the higher PPQ of the Styles, etc. the better, (richer, fuller, life like) a Style, etc., will sound. My guess is it will be an issue. How much is yet to be determined. The KN7000 also has just 1/96 PPQ resolution "96 PPQ". So maybe the KN7000 crowd can fill us in on that issue because the new KN2600 is going to sound very similar to the KN7000 imo because it has the same PPQ Timing Resolution although it will not have as much Sampled WAV ROM as the KN7000 or as many of the other advanced features of the KN7000.
Best regards,
Mike
