Tell Don that you want him to attend your Church with you this Sunday as an anniversary 'gift'. If he really meant those words in 'your' wedding vows 24 years ago, he will gladly oblige. PS: If he becomes cantankerous and doesn't want to go, tell him to recite those vows to you again, only this time do it in front of a minister so he can 'officially' renew those vows he made to you many years ago. You know, the ones that say "I [Don Mason] (affirm/reaffirm/give) to you in the presence of God and (all those in attendance/these witnesses) my (pledge/sacred promise) to "STAY BY YOUR SIDE" as your faithful husband."
I can't imagine your other half not with you on Sunday, in Church, 'by your side', where most likely you and Don recited your wedding vows, - that is: in a Church) to each other "in the presense of God", etc.
Oh, Btw; happy anniversary to you too Don!
I really hope Susan gets her request.
Btw, it really is true Don when it says: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".
>> So just do it Don! Then you won't be obligated to renew those wedding vows again. At least for the foreseeable future, if you stick with it that is.
And please don't tell me your a Baptist and she's a Methodist or a Episcopalian, etc. and that's the reason it's "her" church instead of "your" church. That would mean all my typing was for nothing!!! ......... Uh Oh, something tells me that may be the reason! But if it's not, then you have NO excuse Don!! You can 'make' excuses but you really don't HAVE an excuse.

PS: I'm just the messenger, so don't shoot me. Be nice now..... I know your message is well-intentioned, but where did you get the idea that I don't go to church? As it happens, my wife is Catholic and I'm not, but in the interest of family unity, I go with her. I'm convinced there is one God that we will eventually answer to. He has been good to me. DonM
