Well, instead of waiting for it to travel 100 miles overnight, I decided to take a trip this afternoon and pick it up personally. I just spent about an hour and a half playing my new S900 here at home, and it sounds great. No problems that I've been able to discover at this point...and the Cubase AI bundled with the board was a nice touch.
Coming from a PSR3000 - Initially, to me, most of the styles seem updated. Even some styles I recall having on my PSR403 sound fabulous - because many have been remixed using the included mega and s.a. voices within the styles. The larger rubber buttons seem to work well, but those that are smaller seem to be inacurate or unsure. S.A. guitars are a joy. S.A. trumpets very realistic. S.A. sax is really nice, but the S.A big band sax has too much key noise going on. (are they really that noisy?)
I haven't had time to EQ the board yet, but my guess is that Gary's suggested settings for the previous model (3000) should work on the S900.
Right now, I'm a happy camper. Tim
