Got a call from the dealer. My replacement (2nd S900) is being shipped overnight. Should have it tomorrow. I'm praying this one works!

I'll keep you posted.

Tim

Tim, Sorry you had a problem with the S900. I hope this one is perfect, and I can’t wait for your S900 comments. Coming from you I would expect candid honesty.

I tried my first recording with Vocal, I had to smile, the keyboard, not me sounded real good. Aaaaaaa, nice

Well, instead of waiting for it to travel 100 miles overnight, I decided to take a trip this afternoon and pick it up personally. I just spent about an hour and a half playing my new S900 here at home, and it sounds great. No problems that I've been able to discover at this point...and the Cubase AI bundled with the board was a nice touch.

Coming from a PSR3000 - Initially, to me, most of the styles seem updated. Even some styles I recall having on my PSR403 sound fabulous - because many have been remixed using the included mega and s.a. voices within the styles. The larger rubber buttons seem to work well, but those that are smaller seem to be inacurate or unsure. S.A. guitars are a joy. S.A. trumpets very realistic. S.A. sax is really nice, but the S.A big band sax has too much key noise going on. (are they really that noisy?)

I haven't had time to EQ the board yet, but my guess is that Gary's suggested settings for the previous model (3000) should work on the S900.

Right now, I'm a happy camper.

My replacement from George K. came yesterday, a day early. Only thing I'm in Oklahoma visiting my son, and I wasn't there to sign for it. I had left my wife a note to post on the door so they would deliver it across the street to my neighbor, but she didn't put it out yet because it came early.
Anyway, it will be redelivered today and the note is out. I'll be back late tonight to inspect the damage. Maybe there won't be any!
