Yes, as usual... most likely all of Europe will have them by September or October and we in the good ole USA will have to wait until 2003. What is up with Yamaha?

I can't help it. If anybody cares, you could search for this topic several months ago when it first came up. I predicted it would be as long as a year before we would see one, and not to get excited.
I told you so. Nah-nah-nah-nah. Just more of Yamaha's typical "fertilizer".
They start hyping a keyboard when it's still in the planning stage. By the time it is actually ready, they have everybody chomping at the bit waiting for it. I'm really tired of that stuff and I won't play the game anymore. Whatever they finally decide to make of the "Tyros", it will have to be at least twice as good as anything else before I would buy from them again. Their marketing department should be chopped up by a Samari swordsman. Or maybe not; obviously what they do works for them.

I just re-read this. I am not a bitter person, just have a bitter taste in my mouth.

The TYROS is expected to be available in the UK end of this year November - December. Just think we can have the pleasure or not of sorting all the normal Yamaha BUGS (There are bound to be many as usual) before the rest of the world gets it.

Don,

Pardon me but if I'm reading between the lines correctly you appear to be a little miffed at Yamaha. Let it go man! Give peace a chance! Let your love flow like a mountain stream. Stop and Smell the roses. Ain't no mountain high enough. Just direct your feet to the sunny side of the street. Use the force. Don't go over to the dark side Luke, I mean Don.

Forget the flowers and crap... if anyone here is paying attention to the thread I started about Yamaha's non-support of the 9000 Pro with XGWorks, I think we can start to paint a better picture of Yamaha as big corporation with little customers. I believe that we are all being taken for saps... if you can't use the full capabilities of Yamaha's current "flagship" products because of the limitations of their own sequencer program, which they now admit they will not be worrying about, what else won't they be supporting fully in the future? However good the Tyros is, I'll own one when they are for sale on eBay if only to thumb my nose back at it's designer.
