dlstarry ... I had the same unit ... the technician I used to bring it to (about every other week!) said one of the problems was that the 'tuning pots' for each note were too delicate to be in the amp unit, especially since the bass went through there as well ... I still have mine stored somewhere in the basement ... putting that box in the trunk of a car (big assed '75 olds) was no fun ... and then I went to the Fender Rhodes stage model!!!
I'm not familiar with the 9000, but am personally having a lot of fun with the kn6000.

I wonder what measures might be effective protecting a keyboard from temperature extremes. There must be liner materials that address this issue.

As you know, I NEVER joke. This music is serious business, and should be treated as such. We certainly do not use Al-Gore rhythms out here in the Bushes.
Do you know that rithums may well be the hardest word in the English language to remember how to spell?

You know that the kid who invented that little plastic spacer that goes in the center of a pizza to keep the bag from glueing itself to the cheese made millions from that invention. Uncle Dave maybe the keyboard thermos will do likewise. How will it know when to keep the keyboard warm and when to keep it cool? Please write your book first.

I always thought that a logarithm was a birth control method for Catholic lumberjacks.
