I am just starting to make music and am wondering which Triton would be better for me. I want to make trance/dance music. I currently have a Roland RS-5.The rack is more expandable but I imagine the board is easier to control. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have a Triton Rack. The two biggest differences I know of between the rack and the workstation is the rack does not have the onboard sequencer and does not have the cool touch-screen interface. If you prefer to do all of your sequencing in computer software, then the rack might be your best bet.
