Scott, both the XD9 and the SD1 read styles in X1 format, without problems. I am glad that you are considering the XD9 as your next keyboard; it was high time to get finally a REAL keyboard, after the Technics KN 5000 and the PSR 2000...
Okay: before all Technics and Yamaha devotees jump down to my throat, I AM JUST JOKING (the mood on this Board is kind of depressing, these last few days...) Cheer up!
