Hi BossX: I can't speak for the QY100, but I own the QY70, and though it supports chord recognition and some basic arranger button functions, but it really is no comparison to the PSR2000 in both sounds, styles, and features. I think the live and cool sounds on the PSR2000 (ported over from the PSR9000/9000pro) are a stand out. My QY does not include these sounds. The Qy portables also don't support the One Touch, Multipad, and Registration Memory Bank features, which I think is 'essential' in producing a dynamic LIVE sounding keyboard performance. Still, the QY100 is a fantasticly powerful little box with very good sounds & styles. It's sequencer supports 480ppq (impressive), though it was recently discoverd that the PSR2000 supports 1920 ppq (incredible). If all you require are the basic arranger functions, then travel light with the QY100/QY70 and a keyboard controler. I take mine on a vacation with me and it comes in handy for those impromptu performances & jam sessions.

The sounds in the QY100 are all XG sounds, so you loose the great quality "panel" voices in the PSR keyboards. Also, you can only play 3 finger chords if you want to use a midi controller to play auto accomp. The good thing about the QY100 over the QY100 is the addition of a foot pedal option so you can move from variation to variation (2) or you can use it for starting and stoping the styles. The QY100 also has a mic or guitar input and a seperate effex processor for this input. As for the styles, there are less jazz, latin and ballads than on the PSR keyboards. Primarily, this product has more rock, techno and more modern styles. There are over 4,000 phrases from which to make up the 8 tracks of the styles and you can program your own tracks from scratch if you like. George Kaye Kaye's Music Scene Reseda, California
