I just released a new comedy lounge CD. I thought you all may find it interesting that all of the music was recorded using my Korg PA1XPRO and Roland RD-300SX. Let me know what you think.

Oops, forgot I also used the Casio VL-Tone and Casiotone MT-68.

If this work is all yours, you are probably the most talented in this forum.

Now that I've listened to the words, I say your music and playing is great, but the content is too blue for me.

My opinion only

Thanks. I'm not the vocalist, but I did all the arrangements, recording and mixing. I'm using an outdated 1999 copy of Cool Edit Pro. We used the singers large diaphragm condensor mic but I can't remember the brand. I did however stack my backup vocals 12 times on track 12 and 15. Sometimes there's things only arranger keyboards can do that the Motifs, Tritons, and Fantoms just aren't made to do: cheese.

Yeah, it's supposed to be Rat Pack on drugs. The language gets pretty blue. When your dishing out the loungified gangster rap, you can't blanch at the occassional swear word.

The vocals are the worst part. The arranging and playing are the best. Do you use your talent elsewhere?

I thought the vocals were great!

The arrangements (the basic concept) is hardly new - and that arrangement of Jump is a direct steal from something I saw on Parkinson a little while ago...

Thank god you guys didn't do just lounge for every track but used other genres - polka (a la Weird Al Yankovich) etc...

Not original, but I thought it was great all in all!

Hope you sell a million!

Cheers...

P.S. Play that Funky Music was my fave!

Gangsta Swing? I loved the rap swing stuff (aka #7). Thought the instrumentals and vocals were fine. Well done. Hope it leads you to bigger better things.
