It is hard to know if they have done the same thing with the E50/60, when they are so vague. Although the wave memory is the same.

Interesting point there Starkeeper. I've noticed that (even before they changed their website), Roland has and still is "very" vague on specification lists for products.
When you check out their keyboards for example, there's no "specification list". Just very short, and quite "vague" descriptions. I don't know why, but again Roland's maketing and ad strats are odd at times
Sometimes it drives me nuts. I see something on their site, but my question can only be answered by seeing a broken down "specification sheet", but with Roland you have to go look at their manuals.
Luckily the Roland Keyboard Club website lets you see all this info. If it has to do with their arrangers, this is where I go
In regards to the lack of D-Beam and Fade-in/out on the E-50. Honestly I have say it looks like that decision was made due to the lack of space. Obviously for "cost" they wan't to keep the layout pretty much identical, but when shrinking the board down to 61 keys, there just isn't any room on the panel for the D-Beam and the buttons associated with it
