Sorry to be so ignorant; I should know this, but I don't. I keep seeing "Times New Musician" in my head and I know that's not what we're talking about.

The Creative Sounblaster soundcards used
soundfonts, so maybe it is another word
for soundsamples?

Cassp:

Perhaps this may explain it a little more clearly:

Soundfont is simply a FORMAT for samples.
It was designed by the Creative Lab/Emu
people for use in their sounblaster cards.
Soundfont files have an .sf2 suffix. There are many other sample formats like
Giga for gigastudio. If you do a google for
Awave, and read it translation features,
you will see virtually all the sample formats.

Thanks Scott. That last link was more helpful. I think I've got it now. Is there a quiz on Friday?

Thanks,

Glenn

Hi,
I'd like to thank Vquestor for putting me onto the following XG font. I've only just downloaded it, and I've tried it with OMB software and some of my psr styles.
The styles still need a bit of editing, but far less than my Hypercanvas/omb /psr styles.
I prefer the xg drums in this font to the one's in my synergi font. Best part it's free.
