oooo weeeeee this thing sounds unbelievable!!!!

Its been 5 hours since i purchased my motif and i cannot simply stop playing it!! (until now lol)

i am slowly getting used to everything and how the os works and navigates. its really not that hard at all... different!

i cant get over how much better everything sounds than the Tyros 2. its miles ahead!

with each arp, u have 5 variations and u switch and select them in real time just like style variations on the Tyros. u can make some shorter just for the purpose of being a fill in. so really u can use it as an arranger in that way.

it pretty much has all the styles of music that any arranger has except for the entertainer / movie / organ type stuff..

its very strong with Dance / hip hop / latin / world / rock / pop / jazz / country...

the midi file editing / sequencing is amazing , it basically gives u the same layout u have in cakewalk / cubase!!!!

must go now - much more to be explored!

Nick

Sounds good. Nice to hear from someone who goes 'outside the box' to check out arranger possiblities in a different light.

Congrats on your new board.
Let us know how the auto accompaniment feature works on the Motif xs as compared to the Tyros 2 and whether you can accomplish the same goal but just in a slightly different way.

Ditto!

Well done.

Let us know though (honestly - please) about any polyphony or stuttering problems.

Take it to the limit! (and let us know what those limits are pleeease...)

All the best!

Thanks - great Tube Vid.

That guy is funny - and a great player!

I forgot this board has no touch screen.

That's (most likely) a dealbreaker for me...

(Just the way I work)
