Hi guys,
I just bought two JBL 1500P's at $280/each and I bought an EV FORCE (18" front, not the two 15") at $245. I think this is a good price right?
My questions:
-Is the 18" sub a good one? I never had a sub before and this was the only one they had except for an emliminator sub. I listened to both of them and this one sounded much more "bassy". The differnce in watts is 350 (force) to 400 (Eliminator), and the difference in the price was $35 ($280 for eliminator). So the reason I went with the FORCE was based on my ears at the store. Did I make the right decision?
-Would it be ok to hook up one SUB in the middle somwhere and two Main's? or do I need two subs?
-Hook up questions:
1)If I want to run everything to the sub, I will need a cross over. How do I hook up this way?
2)If I only want to run my arranger keyboard to the sub and everyone else goes out to the Full range, do I still need a crossover? Either way, what is the best way to do this setup ?
Thank you all
p.s. No offense to anyone, but I have a feeling UD is going to win this one again
. His explanations are usually on right on the money.
By the way my final setup is
-two main's 115-ELC fenders plus the EV SUB.
-3 monitors 2EON 1500p and 1 Fender 10" xpander 100
would u switch the two EONs for the two 115's? the EONs are made to be both main and monitor, the others are suppose to be mains. Whaa-da-ya think?
