A Yamaha employee stated they are working on a new CVP range for launch Autumn 2004. Now new top end arrangers normally follow the new models of CVP's. So it is anticipated that a new Tyros will be 2005.

Make's me wish I wouldn't have bought the Pro, because maybe no one will ever build a
KB with to that quality again, & now I set my standards to the Pro.
Either that or makes me want to run out & buy another Pro right quick like.

sorry, but i dont think i will every become a yamaha fan. I can not get used to their keys, just like Fran said.

The pro has real keys. Feels great - wider stance, better throw. It's sweet.

It's even an issue on my Motif Es Uncle Dave, which is the main reason I opted for the "6". I know its only a matter of time before I get dedicated 76 key controller, so I might as well spend the extra money on something that has full size keys and a decent feel.

This doesnt bother me in the least in the studio, and the ES won't be going too many places anyway. On an arranger that I want to take and play in a live setting, it's a huge annoyance if I am going to play anything that is pretty intense or intricate. Don't get me wrong, the key feel is better than on the PSr range, and I can play most of what I want comfortably on the ERS, but it still isn't all that great.
