I own G70 and fully satisfied with it. Great sounds and great brasilian styles (from Roland Brazil, not from factory data

Have owned a G70 for about 3 weeks and haven't had the opportunity to spend much time learning to operate as yet. The piano sound, out of the box, was well below my old G800 until I added the SRX-02 and now it is the best I have heard even through my old KC300 speaker.

Further to my earlier post(will be a G-70 owner in 2 weeks) the dealer now apologises that he will not get delivery for at least 4 weeks. But he has done the decent thing, I now have the store demo keyboard on loan. Now the learning curve has started. Noticed that the OS is 1.06, I'd be interested in knowing what is improved from 1.06 thru to 1.10.

By the way Keith - also remember to update the factory data! Don't know which version is installed, but the ROM styles have been dramatically improved. It is absolutely necessary to update to Factory Data version 1.04. Again, you can find more info here:

Regarding instructions how to update look here:

Good luck! :-)

I spent time this afternoon getting to know the G70 as promised. I came up against a wall when I tried to change instruments in custom styles I made. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to change them. Seems like you're locked into fretless bass, if that's the sound you started with. There is no menu or option to change it. It could be an OS thing and they forgot to put it in.

I tried COVER and MAKEUP, but they only change the Drum or Bass, but not the rst, and when they do in COVER it changes according to the MACHINE's PRESETS and no option for customizing.

Is this crazy or what? Maybe I've missed something, but I went through ALL the menues in style edit.

Please, say, how can I reach you. What is the address of your hospital? I didn't find
any about you!

Fran, Why is he asking for the address of my hospital? Sound like he's trying to poke some fun, not help .
