Runedog, the Yamaha is an 8 channel PA head, not a keyboard amp. It's an EMX312SC. Musicians Friend sells it for $469.99. The 200 watt stereo EMX212 (8 channel-effects) sells for $369.99. I've got it, too, as a back-up for the small 200 watt Carvin, which I like better. It is 6 channel, 200 watt mono...weighs about 12 lbs....sells for $299.95. I just used it for a luncheon at a local country club. Used it with a 12" carvin cabinet and a Hot Spot monitor. Will use it again tonite at a restaurant, with permanently mounted Carvin cabs and lined out to the 100 watt 3 channel Carvin AG 100 (Ithink that's the number) to fill the room ands power the Hot Spot. Prefer using separate heads and cabinets because you can match the cabs to the job. I've got 10's, 12's 15's and larger subs and three-ways...all Carvin. Most common set-up for one nighters is the 6 channel Carvin. 2 12" Carvin cabs, with the new little Roland powered monitor. Play lots of different places, so mixing and matching is the best route for me.
