Wow! Wow! George. Congratulations!!! Your website looks beautiful. You have a very attractive store. This is like an arranger museum. I will feel like a kid in Disney Land. It sure shows that this is your passion. You take great care of your instruments. One can tell just by the way you have them neatly displayed.

I like the color coordination and the blue navigation bar. It makes it very easy to jump to any page you want.

Did you program this yourself?

Hi George:

Your website is really nice, the interface, design-photos, and in top of that is user Friendly, I am glad to see your store in the net. I know you will be doing SUPER !! in the net, of course, besides the store.
You really know your products, and speaking of personal experience myself, as your customer, I do recommend you to ANYBODY, your customer service is the most perfect profile of what a music company should be doing. Cheers !!

Will you be doing any online sales through the website or will it be mainly to promote your store there in Reseda?

Nigel,
I am starting out like this and then I will be adding a page of monthly specials for perhaps overstocked or discontinued items and for the showing off new models in the market place. Where this takes me I have no idea.
I'm so pleased the response from your members have been so positive so far.

Yes, that is really me. And that's my dad to my right. My dad was the drummer and musical director for Danny Kaye (no relationship) from 1952 to 1969 which is the year Danny Kaye retired from entertaining. I was going to school at North Texas State University, studying music and playing trumpet. When I came home from school after my 2nd year my dad and I decided to start our store. I continued to go to school in LA and play trumpet in several big bands on weekends. Sadly, my dad died in 1976 and here I am, 36 years later, doing what I love!

Congrad on the new website!
I have known George for such a long time. And I must admit he is one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to arranger keyboards; I have never seen a sales man to be so passionate and so caring about his clients specially after the sale is done. For me, it is an honor to know him, and he is an important asset to our community. Thank you George for all the hard work.

George, that's interesting to me as both a old movie buff and an aviation enthusiast. As a former military pilot and private plane owner, I met Danny Kaye several times at aviation-related events (AOPA convention, airshows, and even coincidently at several airports). He was quite an aviation buff and was qualified in at least one model of Biz jet (Lear 35???). Proves the "6 degrees" theory, I guess.

Congrats on the very nice web site. After all the accolades, I can't help but feel that we'll probably do some business in the future.

chas,
I can remember my dad getting a phone call on a Sunday afternoon from Danny asking him to fly up to San Francisco for dinner at a Chinese Restaurant Danny loved to eat at time after time. My Dad would say no most times because he had a family to be with but on occasion he would take the ride in Danny's jet. I think one of the planes I remember him flying was a jet commander. I used to drive to the Van Nuys airport with my mom to pick my dad up when they would return from a month playing at the Desert Inn in Las Vegas or from a month in Lake Tahoe. During my childhood, we would spend usually July or August in Las Vegas when Danny Kaye would perform in the main ballroom of the Desert Inn. It was a great life and Las Vegas was such a different place in the early 60's.
Thanks for bringing back some of these great memories I don't often think of anymore.

Hi George, I'm betting that the San Francisco Chinese Restaurant your Father & Danny dined at is The Mandarin , the well known by San Franciscans as Mr. Kaye's favorite, with pics of him, and other legendary chefs (James Beard & Chuck Williams (of Williams-Sonoma) & celebs adorning a wall. Though no longer run by Cecilia Chiang , longtime associate & a Chinese cooking instructor of Mr. Kaye's, The Mandarin remains in business today. I too remember my parents taking me to "The Mandarin" when I was a kid. It was indeed a memorable dining experience, which included (from Ghiradelli Square) a terrific view of the San Francisco Bay & Alcatraz Island.

Nice looking site! In my opinion such design is more sutable for promoting your stora rather than selling keyboards & other stuff.

Our local keyboard store (the only store in the city) looks like 1/10th of the size of Kaye's music scene.

I wish you good luck managing your store and web site.

What is missing is the site copyright information. Did you build it yourself or you asked somebody else?

Regards,
George

Way to go, George! Sent you an email to the store requesting notice when you have SD-5's.

Plan to get it and a Yamaha 525? piano from you.

All the best,

Scott, Johnny Kan's restaurant was the first chinese restaurant I remember from San Francisco and I'm sure my dad and Danny also went to the Mandarin as well. What memories this brings up for me.
Russ, I thank you for your support and I have the Yamaha 525 in stock but the SD5 is not yet available in the USA.
George, one of my friends built this site for me using a host called 1 and 1. That's all I know at this point.

George,

Sorry to say that I was in L.A. for a week in August and didn't get to see you. I wanted to but we were with another couple and they would have been bored out of their minds waiting for me to get out of your store. We were there for a wedding. Heaven knows my wife has spent hours waiting for me while I've been in music stores. Your web site looks great!
