Why are some makers taking a step backwards with the overall design of today's keyboards??? Take the KN-7000... It's a great keyboard, but they took a step back.. The KN6000/6500 was much more sleak, and well rounded. The KN-7000 is very boxy. Plus they took a step back to what Yamaha did years ago and made the entire control panel on a hinge. The KN-6000/6500 looked great with the way the screen and the keys around it flipped up. Take a good look at the Korg Trinity.. This board was made like 6 years ago and when you look at the design, it looks like something that came out recently.. It is very sleek and modern. They released the Triton and made it rather boxy. They've rounded the Studio out a bit. Yamaha did a good job with the tyros. It's a little boxy, but it has a pleasent look. I'd love to see someone go nuts with the design of their future keyboards. Korg did such a great job with the body of the Trinity.. I wish they and more makers would improve upon that..
