I received my first CP33 digital piano yesterday. It is the replacement for the P90.
The big difference is it now is a good midi controller! It has a mod wheel and pitch bend wheel above the lower keys and has 2 programmable controllers (which default to upper and lower volume controls) and the ability to transmit on two midi channels. It also has a USB to computer interface jack and there are 28 internal sounds which include Yamaha's 3 sample per key acoustic piano and a new mono piano voice instead of all stereo sampled sounds. I am very pleased with this new product which ways and is sized just like the P90. I also like that there is a "lock" button which freezes everything on the front panel so someone can't accidentaly change all your settings or sounds. Yamaha has also placed all the jacks and plugs on the back rather than on the left side like the P90. The MAP price for this new model is $1295.00. So many pro musicians have asked for a model with better midi controllers and Yamaha has delivered!

would you say it's more portable than the ypg pianos? how would you compare the piano samples (is it the same soundset from the P90?) thanks

I've been looking for demos of this board with no luck. Does anyone know where to find some good demos besides those on yamahasynth.com. C'mon Yamaha what's with those 40 sec demos.
