That thing is 'huge' Terry. I'm glad you don't do any Gigging or outside Studio Production work. If you did, you'd sure have a hard time straddling that puppy under one arm and taking it with you along with all the other gear you would need to take. I didn't notice the weight specs on it but just looking at it makes my back ache.

Any way congratulations on your new piece of equipment to help you in your quest to making better and better Music. My advice though would be to put it through some rigorous testing to make sure it meets your practical needs and owns up to its high price tag. If you find it lacking in any way you can always save $2,000 of that $3,000 and get a Yamaha AW16G you know.

Not likely I already had the big brother to the 16g and it wasn't cutting it any more, so I doubt that it would. So far I like it very much and it was worth the money.

That is quite some piece of work. The really interesting thing about it, though, is that for $3000 you got more capability than you could have gotten for $100,000 just a few short years ago.

How true the progress made in all the electronic toys is amazing...you and I both can remember when a computer system took up a wharehouse full of space, or.....dare I say standing in front of a TV screen being totally blown away by pong.

LOL, Terry, you're giving away our age!!! The first home computer I owned was a Texas Instrument TI99/4A. I HATED it! However, I was able to sell it before I took it out in the back yard, poured lighter fluid all over it and stuck a match to it. I took that money and bought a Commodore 64 with a tape deck for backup storage. I loved the C64, though.

Ah, the old days. Not necessarily good, though.
