Hi, I'm Laura, a Spanish clasical pianist.
I'm looking for a digital piano with a good piano sound and touch.
I have allways heard about Roland digital pianos as the best ones. is it true?.
I have tried the new Casio Privia PX 400, and i think it's a good piano, but i would like a professional Hamond sound also, how can i get it?.

Give me advice about what you think is the best in my situation.
Thaks a lot.

Do you want a jazz Hammond sound, or a church sound. The "Hammond" sound is too diverse to define easily. Some digital pianos have great organs in them, but not too many feature LOTS of organs. define your needs a little more and well make recomendations !

... then buy a Yamaha Motif ES8; it has an excellent acoustic piano and all the Hammond sounds you might ever want.

A Kurzweil PS2 with the Drawbar card option might be another good way to go. I love Kurzweil piano sounds.

If you are looking for the best in action, look at Yamaha P-250. Good piano sounds, full XG sound set + rarely included pitch and mod wheels (on a digital piano). It also includes speakers. For around $1800.

I would look at two Yamaha models, the P120 or the P250 depending on your budget. Great action, great Piano sounds, and the other samples like Rhodes and Organ and strings are pretty good.

The other option you want to consider is to purchase a really good midi controller with weighted action for your classical piano skills then purchase a sound module like the Motif Rack or Triton Rack. This would give you many sound options with the key action you desire.

Hope that Helps Laura....Good Luck

Are you wanting something portable? Yammie has some nice upper line digital pianos.
