Hummmm, there must be a very steep learning curve on the G70. Seems to me Donny was posting right away after getting his Tyros2. Not that I'm trying to add flames to a fire that has burned here recently
Donny will no doubt post on here in his own good time and maybe even Fran if he has purchased a G70 as well. Looks like he's too busy getting to grips with the G70 and posting questions on the Roland users forum at the moment. Maybe it's taking him longer to set up for gigging than he had expected, or maybe he's already doen that and is in G70 heaven at the moment

As with anything new, there is probably excitement in the air at Donny's house. It not every day you get to drop that kind of cash for a new instrument....well, in Donny's case maybe every other day I would imagine he is learning all he can from those in the know. I hope he finds everything he is looking for in the G-70, it certainly is a great keyboard.
Crikey he had the T2 for a few weeks, the G70 for 4 days now and a possible move to the E80 - ouch. Maybe when the E80 is out Roland will add some of the features into a G70 update that Donny has raised on the Roland user forum. Surely it's not worth losing 76 keys for only 61? Where is Donny and Fran anyway, have they vacated SZ, it's too quiet without their posts.

Grudging? No, not me. Why would you think that?! I was merely responding to the thread topic question by sharing what Donny had actually expressed (no joke). - Scott
only rolmans 2nd post since joining 27.07.06 and he asks if we are grudging.
No grudge here, each to their own. I even put if he was thinking of swapping he shouldn't just yet and should give Roland a chance to update the G70's OS once more with the new E80 features that Donny wants that are not currently in his G70. Scotts grapevine is pretty accurate and not made up by him, watch this space.

Hey Rolman,
I dont think anyone here is begrudging Donny for his keyboard choices. Its quite safe to say we have all made choices ourselves. After the flame wars of recent, everyone is trying to keep things civil. However, you can not deny the amazing metamorphysis that Donny has gone through in a few short weeks. We are just concerned that he may be going through some sort of mid-life crisis Some may call it "fickle" others may say he has evolved still other may say "He has suddenly been overcome by a burst of wishy-washiness" to quote Charlie Brown. Anyway Rolman... No grudging here. We all took a chill pill

I think the laugh may have been pulled on 'me' (by DNJ) this time. When Donny sent me his vid clip , he assured me he was actually wearing a REAL crown, and I accepted that at face value, so not until today have I finally learned (from MSutliff) the real 'digital' source of that crown. Ok ok, I still believe in the easter bunny and santa claus too. Nice 'video' shop work Donny.
