The song has a nice sound to it mdolmon.

So, are you the real Steve Martin??

Btw, is this a band were listening to or is this possibly a backing arrangement (pre-fab) song and you are playing the Guitar along with it?

You did a nice job on the guitar. Thanks for sharing.

PS: I guess there's no Arranger Keyboards in the Mix huh? No Vocals either. Are you strictly instrumental?

Furthermore, I've been thinking about catching your new movie in the theaters Steve. Steve Martin is a funny guy. But you should know that, right?

Best regards,
Mike

Well Excuuuuusse me!.
But I'm not Steve Martin.
A bit of clairification.
I'm Mike Dolsen aka mdsonic
Steve plays guitar.
No arrangers here, everything except the bass and guitar is a motif rack.......I do have a PSR 2100 but don't use it much except to hash out quick idea's and then I replay everything.
We're a project in the works with a couple of gig's under our belt and am currently getting ready to gig on a regular basis here in Cleveland Ohio. more to come

Well; from one Mike to another Mike - congratulations!! That Motif Rack sure puts out some nice sounds. Don't forget to keep your eye on a possible Motif ES rack too. Double the Polyphony, mucho more Wav Rom, Mega Voices, plus an all around better sound. That is, if you want to continue to stay on the cutting edge sonically.

So, let me get this straight. You have your performances all set up in the Motif Rack before you head to your Gig. You start the playback in the Rack and Steve jams with the guitar and you jam on Bass along with the Rack performances? Cool! Good way to cut down on Band members. And having to dole out the proceeds to them too.

Btw, instrumentalists are people too and deserve what they get. I mean that in a good way. Much success to you and Steve in your endeavour.

Best regards,
Mike

Thanks,
Well the rig I use is a bit more complex, here is what I run...Roland Fantom, Korg Triron, Motif Rack, Roland Sh32, Korg MS2000, Roland JV2080 with expansion, Yamaha S30, Yamaha RS7000. My gig rig is a Pentium 4 based system rack mounted in a mixer case but with the flip up mixer section holding a 15" flat screen monitor, a pull out keyboard and mouse, I use the Fantom, Triton and Motif plus Native Instruments B4 softsynth, I run Nuendo with steves backing tracks as audio and all of my rig sequences, steves guitar efx's and the lights are run by Nuendo. Mackie 4 bus mixer, some effects and a PA...We now have a drummer who is using a Roland Vdrum setup so his patches are changes by the sequencer as well.
