Here's are the demos!!!! These links work too, they're from the Japan site, no need to read Japanese--just click on the MP3 speaker icons I can hear the original Motif all over these demos.

These demos are very modern too! There are no polkas, ect on the MM6 (THIS IS AN ARRANGER FOLKS). This is like a DJX on crack!

Also keep in mind the onboard 8 track sequencer is just a start really. The MM6 is budled with recording software (not sure which program though). However, if the onboard sequencer doesn't loop, copy/paste, all this can be done via the included software sequencer. This will be an affordable way for many here to have an arranger based on "modern styles". I think the bundled software really makes the package a good deal for people wanting Motif sounds--and of course the bonus for many here is "arranger features too".

I admit this is not my favorite music style but I can hear that the arrangements are pretty simple because of the low poly limit and the sound is thin. The MO sounds much better.

Sorry, these demos sound too unconvincingly for a synth. Maybe it is good for an entry level board but there is no way I put my money on it.

Thanks for sharing, Squeak. I am looking forward to your review on the new Motif XS.

Regards,
George

Thanks for the link, Squeak.

I love the sound...so tight and open, yet still warm and thick.

Nice stuff...can't wait to get one.

Ian

George,
I don't think they sound thin at all. Keep in mind this isn't a 4 element synth engine here. For the 32 note poly I think the styles or (patterns) sound quite "phat". That's the trick with Hip Hop, R&B ect. People often end up putting "too many notes" into the loop. The trick is to keep it simple, but yet make it sound modern. That's actually not that easy to do either. Soundwise I think this little MO is quite impressive. I too want to see the manual. I'm "hoping" you can save voice edits internally on this thing.

that 'Clublife' track sounds excellent.

theres no way of telling from those demos that its only 32 polyphony. they sounds very realistic indeed.

in my opinion those drums and synth sounds are spot on and sound much more polished than any arranger on the market.

cant wait to demo this board...
