Tyros 2, Technics KN7000 and Yamaha Motif ES6 workstation. Love them all, but starting to think that three diverse keyboards is perhaps too many!

Hey Jim , sorry to hear of your accident..I wish you the best..

Steve , come on..you know the right decision

Me..I have a G70, and a MediaStation...I am content

I was considering something light, and bought a 61 key controller to use with the laptop[soft synth]..but after a few gigs..I knew it wasn't me..I want 76 keys..and the feel of quality[Steve , are you listening?)...

I'm interested in the s900 but I'll wait and see what the new owners have to say and to see if there is any kinks that need to be worked out.
Right now I am using OMB and an edirol controller, I must say these new controllers have a better feel than in the past. I tried one a couple years ago and it felt like a toy now they say they are building them as instruments not computer peripherals, and I agree.
But my feeling is with an s900 I can pack up the laptop, the mixer, the effects, the amp and speakers and the recorder. Of course I am talking about home use.

Hi Keith B .. very similar to my setup, only exchange KN7000 with MZ2000 or PA80. I was thinking of letting 1 or 2 of these go myself ( not the T2 or MZ though ) but I kinda like each one for what it is. Maybe if the G70 or E80 really gets to me ( I need more time with them ).. I would possibly consider parting with my PA80 and / or Motif ES, but even those I still like a lot.

The T2 is a keeper for many reasons, too many to list here. I also really have a soft spot for the MZ. It has sliders.. Mmmmmm....... Me like... sliders...lol. The preset styles in it pretty much range from kinda bad to absolutely awful, but it functions rather nicely on it's own as a synth, with beautiful Organ, Sax, and Rhodes sounds along with really nasty / crude / rough sounding electric guitars that only my best VSTi's can match, and a nice palette of rather ordinary synth patches that can be made very juicy and edgy with surprisngly deep but also very easy to access patch editing and effects. It also has sliders..Did I mention that I like sliders ? I love analog feeling stuff, even if it's connected to a digital machine.

AJ

I would consider another board like the E60 if it had a vocal channel...mic input, vocal effects. I've considered the g 70 or e 80 but I'll probably not use it enough to justify it.

The superior Roland keybed and and 76 keys, and a great live sound! Decisions, decisions
