Looks like "Lawrence Welk does the Best of Led Zepplin" didn't make the list.

As a whole I think they are pretty much correct. I've always preferred Abby Road to Sgt. Pepper but as far as sales and such they probably are correct.

I would have figured that Chicago and Blood Sweat and Tears would have had one in the top 100 but go figure.

I'm not sure how they missed the "Best of DNJ" album.

If they are ranked by sales, then it must be true. Otherwise it is way too subjective.
How could you leave out Bill Haley and the Comets' Rock Around the Clock?

Don,

I know I'm considerably younger than you so I don't actually remember this but wasn't "Rock Around the Clock" just one song? This ranking was for albums. Was there an album also by that name?

You've got to remember that in YOUR day the population of the whole U S of A was only about 5 million. In Boo's day the United States population was about 50,000 and they were all sax players.

I actually still have the album, "Rock Around The Clock". It is generally considered to be one of the seminal R&R albums. The "Comets" were talented players who had previously been jazz and pop musicians. Great upright bass, sax, etc. Haley was pretty old for a rocker.
My favorite song from the album was "13 Women and Me The Only Man Around".

I doubt very much this is ranked by album sales. No way I can believe Zep 1 outsold Zep 4, or that Dark Side of the Moon is only 43rd.
