From an important technician I heard that on
the next Frankfurter Messe Roland will come
with an automatic singing head.
This head will be programmable an can be pla-
on the keyboard. On the backsite is room for
a smartdisk. The face will be very flexible
and will follow the song completely.
The singing head has 20 male and 20 female
voices and has a polyphony of 2.
There a 50.000 words in the head to choose
from and there be 50.000 new words on a smart
disk too. This is the result of the vari-
phrasetechnique.

What a wonderfull idea from Roland this sing-
ing head. If it did not came from you Bevan I
could hardly believe it.What a progression
Roland made with the variphrase. Will the sin
ging head have speakers ? When there is no
room on the keyboard ,can it be placed on a
stand? Is this head transposable like most
of the arrangerkeyboards today?

Hi deb, glad you are still on the net.Are you
still a VA player? I hope so because the auto
matic singing head gives the best results
when used by a Roland arrangerkeyboard.
Yes the singing head has three little speak-
ers, one in the mouth and two in the ears.
When played in a large room you will get the
best result by putting a microphone in front
of the head.
Yes again for your next question there is a
stand for the singing head and when you
transpose on the keyboard the head will
follow and transpose too because they are
connected by Midi.At the delivery two wigs
are included, spectacles and sunglasses,
all for the singing head too. You can change
the colour of the head as you wish.

The singing head can change the face just as
you like. This is a part of the programmabili
ty. The head comes with 500 presetfaces but
with a smartdisk you can expand this with
several sets of new faces from the most impor
tant singers from today and from the past.

Nope....this means Roland pushes us another step further from live music in the clubs and at the private affairs. I wish they'd make a competitive new arranger that we could actually play instead of this nonsense.

If these "technological advances" keep going, the only place we'll be singing is IN the head!!!!!

The first try outs of the singing head will
be in Belgium. It is not shure if it ever
will come to America. The US is a too small
music market for such a technical advantage.

We have too many big heads here already. Maybe a mechanical head will be an improvement over the likes of some of these "would-be" pop stars.

I am sure Uncle Dave that this will be true.
A D beam through the eyes seems a good idea
to me, I hope Roland reads this.
After the introduction of the automatic sin-
ging head the world will be changed forever.

Technics could reply with "dancing legs",
also connected with a keyboard.
