Hi everybody,

I thought I would let you guys and gals be the first to see the promo video just completed of my jazz/blues group.
JazzItUp Promotional Video

I is about 22MB's so I may have to re-render at a lower resolution but right now I am off to a gig.

Please let me know what you think.

Best Regards,

Dave

Smokin', for sure! You just can't beat a B3 and some good jazz, or just good music. Thanks for showing us there is some great music out there.

Love it, but how do you transport the B3

Fred

Note: since you used mike's for your recording I would recommand to hang some curtains particularly in front of the windows to get a more dry sound.
Your drummer will love you for that..

Hey Dave, terrific promo vid. Having met you at NAMM and watched you play in person, I would have never expected to see you let your hair down the way you did on this video. You really do 'get down' dude. The beard looks good too. Hope to catch you when you get to California (Winter NAMM?) again. - Scott

Dave,

Enjoyed your work and seeing JB too. Who did your promo? Is it expensive? I'd like one done for my solo act.

Thanks guys! I am having a blast with the organ. Can't believe it took me so long to finally start taking it to gigs.

B3000 That model is the one they don't talk about.
No, I am using a BX3; the first Hammond manufactured after Suzuki bought the Hammond company. Far better than the B3000 in every way. It is running through a Leslie 122XB which is the newer version of the original 122.

Good suggestion. The whole video thing was a last minute idea so for that it turned out at least usable.

Thanks Scott. Hey, I am not a suit and tie wearing guy all the time you know. In fact since I have a home office, I'm lucky to change out of my pajamas all day. (just kidding Italy, lol)

Thanks a lot. How about this for timing. I returned the U-Haul rental trailer at 9:30 this morning and at 11:30 I get a call form the club owner asking if we could play there again tonight. So back to U-Haul and re-load. It would have sure been nice to leave everything set up in the club. Oh well, that's why a part of it is called work. BTW, come to The Avenue Lounge in Covington, KY tonight if you can. The address is 411 Madison Avenue. We start tonight at 8pm.

Visit www.landmanproductions.com. Chuck Land shot the video. Tell him I sent you. Or if you want, I will hook you up with him since I will be going back over to his place soon to finish the full length band video. Let me know.

Best Regards,

Dave

Dave-let us know where in northern Kentucky you and the band will be. I'm in Lexington and would live to come visit.

Outstanding Dave! You'd be a big hit in the Norristown area - a couple of jazz joints opened in your old neighhborhood and you would blow 'em away.
Ciao,
Jerry

Dave,
Thanks for the link. Sorry I couldn't get down there, maybe one day. I play 69 times in October alone.

Hi Russ. We are back at The Avenue Lounge, 411 Madison Avenue, Covington, KY 45011 on October 3rd and 17th. We are expecting to get some weekend dates there as well in addition to doing the every other Wednesday gigs. I'm sorry that Covington is not closer to Lexington but if you do decide to make the trip, that would be great.

I post our open to public dates on My Space and at Cincy Music .

Hi Jerry. If there was any way to pull it off, I would be back there is a second. Speaking of cool jazz clubs, are you familiar with the Baligo Inn on Baligomingo Road? (I think I spelled that wrong)

I spoke with Chuck yesterday to let him know that you may be in touch with him. I/m sure he will treat you right on price.
