Hey, I have an OLD OB-X that has quit on
me a couple of times. Unfortunatly the
electronics of the day did not have a
great life expectancy. I have found it
usually is just a single IC that has
flaked out (temp, movement, age, or
possible spike)or sometimes just not
making good contact anymore. If you are comfortable with the inside of the synth
you can reseat the IC's on the boards.
Sometimes you get lucky, though not often.
Otherwise it will take someone to trouble
shoot the board to find the bad chip. The
IC is cheap, the expertise to find it is
not ! Still, it is ussually well worth
it.
