Anybody use this module? I can't find any reviews of it.

I was looking at older Sound Canvases, but the newer D70 really got my attention with its ability to send the output as digital audio back up the USB cable to the hard drive. My biggest problem with MIDI gear, as opposed to the PC-based sample stuff I do, is getting a clean audio signal from the module back into the PC through my cheap sound card.

I've been keeping my eye on this one too. So far, the Edirol site is the only one I can find any information. But the Digital I/O should be nice.

I saw an ad for this module inthe current (Feb 2001) issue of Electronic Musician magazine. It looks like a stripped down (control interface) SC8850. All of the ounds and major buttons on there, but it really relies on the PC for navigation.

I would say, if you want the SC8850 (like the SC880, a big bang for the buck module), but can't afford it and have a PC or MAC, get the SCD70 and hook it up to your PC with the accompanying editor software and BOOM!, there's your SC8850!

I too am interested in the SC-D70 and would like to see reviews and feedback from users. I am leery of the USB connection and would like to see reviews and feedback on how USB compares to other connections. Will USB 2 make a difference? Would it be advised to disconnect other USB devices to optimize performance?

Can anybody help us?
