Ah Yes, Bossier City. I remember it from my youth. There were more great bars and nite clubs in this town than any person could have frequented in their lifetime--but I gave it a heck of a try when I was 22 years old. Damn, that was 40 years ago. Don, it the place still as much fun and is it still filled with great clubs?

I don't remember how to paste pictures here, but here's a link to them. http://www.imira.com/Album/GuestView.asp...p%3FCPIndex%3D0 Click on the photos to make them bigger. We had a great time, but the visit was too short. We did see Tom and Pat again this morning, because I left my cell phone in Tom's truck and they were nice enough to drop it off at my house, as they were on the way out of town. Travelin' Easy--Bossier City still has some clubs, but it's not like the old days when illegal gambling, B-girls and all that was wide-spread. We now have three Casinos, and two more just across the river in Shreveport. Back in the 50's and 60's though, it was really wild. I came to town in 1977 and got in on the tail-end of it. The Louisiana Hayride was still going, but only a shadow of it's former status. Scott: I played a lot of Country music Saturday, because that was what the customers were asking for. We had several very talented singers on hand, plus a couple of good guitar players. Aaron Cash (Johnny's half-brother) was there and he sounds exactly like Big John himself. He's a few years younger and stays on key a little better! When I finally persuaded Tom to play while I took a break, the audience loved him. He played "Route 66", "I Saw Her Standing There", and several more (I was gone to the rest room for a while!) Tom also took photos, and I'll bet he will post some. Tom,
What is a "B" Girl? You definintely have to get out more. As for the crawdads, I wasn't very excited about them myself. However, if you ever have the opportunity to eat Maryland style steamed shrimp, the big guys that average 10 to 12 to the pound, you'll know what they're so popular. The same holds true with Maryland style steamed crabs. Donny and Dave will be more than happy to fill you in on these mouth-watering delicacies. When washed down with an ice-cold beer, it's like dying and going straight to heaven.
Cheers,
Gary
