Yes Scott. That is where the original ones are. Some were pretty good as they were, but over time I've tweaked them more since then, and I also converted about 20 or so Tyros styles since then. I'll work on making some sets and then release them as a new package.

Update:

The styles are still on his site, some 9+ hours after he told me he had taken them down.. I think it's a Brazilian site.. I'm not even sure.

He didn't even have the courtesy to try to disguise the fact that they were my conversions.. The folders are in still in the exact format that you see them on Joe Water's site, where I had originally uploaded them into two seperate folders, one with 16 and the other with 12 styles.

I'm not particularly happy about this right now... I emailed Jorgen. I hope he will remove Axe Bahia's link from his site. I didn't look carefully, but I am willing to bet that the rest of the styles he has up are probably other peoples conversions as well.

I would be very upset if this happened to me.

I suggest you write to him and threaten legal action. Just the threat might convince him to remove it. Tell him that you've spoken to a lawyer and are prepared to initiate proceedings if he doesn't remove the stuff within 48hrs.

How much is he charging for your stuff?

Chony, though your suggestion of threatening legal action might (hopefully) work, in reality, Bluezplayer's converted styles may not be considered legally to be completely his to claim copyrights to either, because they (conversion?) came from Korg originally. If Bluezplayer had decided to sell them himself. I suspect that Korg might have as much legal clout to sue Bluezplayer for these styles. On top of that Korg is a BIG company with $ & clout to back a lawsuit. For this reason, I would think that contacting Korg and letting them know that this guy was selling their style conversions might be the best way to put a permanent stop to this guy. This is ONLY my opinion of course & I could be all wrong about all this. Nonetheless, I admire all the work AJ (Bluezplayer) has put into creating these styles because I recognize he didn't merely auto convert, and understand his anger and frustration. Good luck. - Scott

Exactly Scott. I used the Korg style names and a good bit of the data from the original styles, and although I did alter a good bit of it, I would never try to pass these off as my original work.

I know how software developers must feel when they see warezed versions of their hard work selling on unauthorized CD's, often for a fraction of what it's supposed to cost and without a single penny being returned to the developer.

I'm not sure what the cost is Chony.. in US Dollars, but he is apparently charging 30 Of whatever his currency is per disk. If I'm correct and it's Brazilian.. at the current exchange rate it would amount to approx 12 USd.

I'm guessing he pilfered all of this stuff off of Joe Waters' style site, because I definitely recognize the way the folders are setup for the Tyros to 2k conversions. I'm 99% certain that these are setup exactly the same way as they are on Joe's site, which of course offers the styles for free.

If that is the case, I'm not worried at all that Korg would be upset with me, since they have a direct link to Fabio Salamone's style site right on their PA arranger homepage. Fabio also has some of these converions and many more, including a bunch from Korg arrangers converted to Yamaha styles. I'm guessing they would not be so pleased that this guy is selling this stuff though. Korg also have my instrument defintion ( .dev ) files for the Pa80 in Jammer pro on their website. Even though I did not upload it to them directly, this I don't mind at all, because I did upload it elsewhere, and... Korg is not trying to sell it.

I'm thinking also of just telling him that I'm going to announce on every forum I can get on that he is selling styles that are freely available elsewhere, and then actually doing it.
