Terrific, Fran. Congratulations! Looks very cool.

Are you selling your G70, like a few of the others are doing, or will this compliment it on a gig?

Ian

This Juno G is a great little keyboard..

I was a bit disappointed with the Sonic Cell for my needs...so I went out and bought the Juno G to play with..[my new toy]..
I "toyed" with the idea earlier in the year before I bought the G70 , but just didn't know if I would enjoy playing it..

It has the same engine[FantomX] as the Sonic Cell, and most of the same features other than the 24 bit /96 hz audio interface...and will not play MP3's...BUT ..the 4 stereo audio track recording [16/44.1] is great..There are also no limitations to song files as the Sonic Cell's 99..
The Juno G has all the same edits and 3 multi effects as the Sonic Cell..besides the addition of a very good sequencer..

Selling the G70?..No way, the only substitute, I would consider is a brand new in the box G1000..

I will make the effort to set up the Juno G..I definitely can use it in the band as well as the studio...maybe even small 1 hour gigs too..but my comfort and pleasure is the G70..

Fran,

I watched the video demo at Roland's website. What a cool board! That plus the G70 should be a killer setup in the studio.
Congrats - have fun!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems the G70 did not transmit transposition over MIDI(a real drawback when using a module)...and I believe that was possible on the G-1000...strange they would remove such an important function.

The Juno G reminds me of my old Jupiter-8...you'll have lots of fun with it, no doubt.

Once again, congratulations on your new toy.

The transpose problem was during the midi play [midi out to module while playing a sequence]..Real time transpose via midi works fine on the G70
