Majik:

Sorry my bad english, I´m only adding more confusion to all this topic...:/

Step by step again (with additional steps):

1) download zip file (5501_1.zip)
2) unzip file 5501_1.out to your hard disk, in same directory of sdisk executable.
3) run sdisk.
4) press D(etails)
5) new filename: 5501_1.out
6) new drive: A:
7) press W(rite)

Sdisk is now writing the file 5501_1.out to the floppy disk.
The file 5501_1.out is a 720k, DD disk image.

Ahhhh, I see the error of my ways. Putting the unzipped file into the same directory as sdisk makes it all come together. Mgomes, you are the best. Thanks for not getting fed up with my inability to see the simple path. I have tried your step by step and it looks like this is working. I will have to take my disks home tonight and see what the RS330 thinks of them.
thank you again

Everything has worked to perfection. My lib
now has all the samples from the S-550 Sgroup. Thank you for all your effort in this matter.

This is kind of on-topic...

Anybody know of where I can get the source for SDisk? I am an experienced assembler programmer and I'd like to make a newer more friendly version. Why re-invent the wheel if I can get the old source code.

David,

Sdisk was written by Nic Grant, of Carrot Top Music.
In the docs of Sdisk program, (dated of July/93), are the addresses (snail/e-mail) to contact the author.
