NO one is Buying the S700??
Why?

No info on this forum? no buyers yet?

As of now that's the only one I can afford, I would love to buy the S900, but as of now it's not possible.

Thanks

Vilo,

If you can get a second hand PSR-S900...go for it!

I love mine...it's one of the best keyboards I've ever owned.

You can't go wrong with a PSR-3000 either.

Both have Mega voices, but the S900 has the edge by having the Super articulated voices as well.

Good luck.

Ian

Are they widely available, yet...? How long have they been shipping? Anyone played one in a store, yet?

Many possible reasons.

In my opinion, as far as Availability is no different than the S900...

I know, I got in touch with AJ Already, but had a customer, checking it out, AND, THE BIG AND! is, I don't have the money to buy it, the Price that he gave me on the S700 is very tempting.

THanks

The S700 and S900 are definitely "worthy". The only thing is, it's not the successor Yamaha claims it to be. To me and a lot of users on my own forum it's totally unclear why there is a PSR3000 _and_ a S900. Both instruments overlap a great deal, and each has its own benefits over the other.

I suspect the same goes for PSR1500 versus S700. So if you have a 1500 or 3000, the general thought is: "Don't". If the S700 or S900 is a real upgrade to you: go for it.

And if you'd rather have the S900 than the S700 but can't afford the S900 right now: Just wait and save some more money. Even though you may never know exactly what you miss out on if you go for the S700, you'll still have that nagging idea of "but what if I had bought the S900..."

I agree.......probably Yamaha had to get rid of over stocked parts from the 3k so they conjured up a S900 etc .. with a few SA voices & additional features.
Rumor has it that even the Tyros craze is about over.....& Yamaha's next indulgement into the arranger market will be something of a "Hybrid"......just wait & see
