I went into the local GC hopefully looking for a used or demo PSR 3K - not many around. I came out with a "used" CM-30 cube monitor. Officially, it's used, but it was in the box with all the original packaging and manual. I got it for $90. Had I gone earlier in the week, I could have had a pair.

This little box kicks butt; 30w, three channels and stereo outs. I know Donny was asking about them a couple months ago. I'm looking forward to trying this one out next weekend. I'll give you a quick review then.

Oh BTW, the G70 is always available - make me an offer I can't refuse - but it seems I will probably be keeping it for quite a while. The sound is exceptional, even my bandmates commented on the improved sound.

Been using one for about three months...GREAT little powered monitor. Also used it to power C/D's and a voice mike at a small meeting for 30 people. A little concerned the time I used it mounted on a mike stand. It needs something more substantial, in some cases.

Hey Cass -

Trade you even up for my 900S - works and looks flawless - 3 weeks old. Includes new soft shell, 2g usb stick, unopened warranty, manual, music rack, etc. I feel like being sassy and abstract these days. I'll head north

Sorry, zuki but an S900 is not in my plans, and it certainly wouldn't be an even up trade IMHO. I'm looking for a 3K and a Hammond XK-1 kind of even up (I've got a great deal on XK waiting) so I need to make only the right deal for me. Thanks.

Yeah, Zuki...did you fall out of love with your S900 already?

What about a PA-800?

Donny and Dave seem happy with theirs...that would be a nice change for you.

Just because Zuki offered to trade his S900 for a G70 doesn't mean he is unhappy with it, merely that he knows a good deal when he offers one!!
I love my Scion XB, but I'll trade even for a Hummer, even though I don't want one!

Well Don.....lets have Zuki offer his opinion....I was just curious about his inquisitiveness to switch that's all.

If I owned a Yamaha S900, and even if I loved it, I still wouldn't hesitate the opportunity to trade it for a Roland G70, simply because the G70 resale value is far more than even two S900's cost. Hey, if the G70 didn't suit me, I could simply sell/trade it for TWO Yamaha S900's with plenty of cash left over to boot. That said, if Cassp's actually accepts Zuki's offer, but Zuki pulls out, I'd be more than happy to step in and go out and buy a S900 just to take advantage of that kind of deal.

OK, I got slammed But the thread was "make me an offer I can't refuse". I just vizualized Cass in his basement, kicking the dog and throwing a fit while trying to work through the G70 learning curve. Thought I might catch him at a vulnerable time.

I felt a sudden urge to try something huge like the 70, but since I'd have to throw in a Hammond?

Besides, more jobs and now with the G10 2 powers - the 900 is a keeper. I'd really be crazy to unload it for the unknown.

I'm pretty much over the hump on that learning curve. Almost all of my equipment is always for sale. I'll never pass up an opportunity to go better, newer, smaller if the "price is right." So far I've been able to keep up with the new technology without losing my shirt. Shrewd trades and good buys come about when you are patient and do your homework. I really am thinking of keeping that battleship after all, unless...

And the thread was about - the Roland CM-30 Cube monitor amp. I can't wait until I use it on the job next weekend. I tried it in the store and it blew me away. I can foresee using my NanoVerb with it. Yeah!

And speaking of shrewd trades and good buys - I think Fran got an exceptional buy on that Roland V-Stand I sold. Thinking back, I could have asked for more or maybe even kept it, but it helped pay the final balance on the G, so everyone's happy
