The new versions of the KORG Pa1X's Operating System and Musical Resources (2.50), adding more that thirty new functions, have been released. You can download them from the Software section of the official web site:
http://www.korgpa.com

Please remember that installing the new Musical Resources is required. Be sure you backup any sensible User data before loading them, since any memory content will be deleted.

Dear Pa1X Users,

Please be adviced that the current version of the SongBook Editor (1.0) does not work with SongBook files generated by OS 2.5. Files can be loaded, but when saving, features added by OS 2.5 (like the Harmony Track) are removed from the file.

We are working to a new, OS 2.5 compliant, release of the SongBook Editor, that should be available soon.

Now that is what I call customer support!
Acknowledging a “problem” and having the willingness to fix it.
That’s great!!
It sounds as if Korg is really trying to make the PA1X the best experience for their customers.

Now if Korg had a module version of the PA1X I would be a customer for such a product. Any chance of that?

Alas, not likely in the short time. It seems the market is asking us way more keyboards than modules.

I am getting some error message when I try to load .PCM files from my hard drive to 16 MB SdRAM. I have reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled the OS; the problem persists; I am able to load syles, sounds, and other things. But this problem occurs only with PCM files. Is it a harware issue?
