I've been considering the Logitech as a possible lightweight addition to my 2 JBL Eon 10G2's.

I'm thinking it could be useful in a large room where I can use some more punch, fullness and volume. So far I haven't run into a problem, but great sound is important to me along with a need for very light weight equipment.

I see the sub is 120 watts and the satelites are 40x2. 200 extra watts sounds like a lot on paper, but I have not heard these z2200's.

How do you think that would work with my JBL's which are 175 watts apiece.

That would be a total of 550 watts.

I'm also thinking about adding an UB802 Behringer mixer to get more of the headroom I understand this will give me.

BTW, I play a Tyros, and love it.

I have been using the Logitechs for several months now with great success. They are more than adequate on their own for small to medium venues. For the larger ones I use them as back-up to my Torque system without any problems. I also play Tyros but I do run through a mixer as the Logitechs do not have any tone controls.

Could you describe the Torque system specs like what speakers, watts, etc?

How big of a room and how many people do you feel it can handle?

You're going to need a handful of audio adapters to make this scene work.

I would not recommend using the Z-2200's with the EON's (I have both). The Z-2200's do not come close to having a balanced sound and require fairly radical EQ'ing to get them to sound useable (the system inherently has way too much bass and you can't use the satellites by themselves). Whenever you have to EQ this much to get decent sound, you are wasting amplifier efficiency so that "200 watts" doesn't really apply. By the time you EQ your keyboard to sound good with the Z-2200's, it'll sound pretty thin through the EONs, thus wasting their efficiency too.

However since Z-2200's can be had for under $60, it's not risking much to find out for yourself... you can always retire them to the computer desk if you don't like them (as I did).

I wouldn't recommend it either. I think what you want is more low end only for a larger room. You want the subwoofer without the satelites. I found that my vocals distorted at quite low volumes with the Z-2200. It is a bass heavy system.

Perhaps you should get a 200 watt subwoofer. Since you'd only be using it rarely, it might not need to be a professional unit. This would probably beef up your sound in a large room.

The Torque system consist of a 150 watt stereo amp with two speaker cabinets. Probably only available in the U.K. I run from the Tyros outputs into a Carlsboro mixer.Then from the mixer to the Torque amp. This has auxilliary outputs from which I feed into the Logitech controller.

I am thus able to reduce bass if I feel it to be too heavy but I do not do this often unless I am playing on a resonant floor.
I have never had anything but compliments on the sound quality since I have been using this set-up..Perhaps my clients are easily pleased!!!!!!!!!!!

Scott, I think I have heard this from Dave --
With two JBL10's, if you want more add a sub-woofer. Feed the JBL's a little more trebble and the sub does the rest.
For a large job, 200 and up, I use stands for the JBL's, the sound carries futher above the heads, a little volume goes a lomg ey. And a JBL Ge2 for the bottom. I feel a sub would do a better job than the Ge2.

Sat right through the worst part of Ivan right here in Pensacola. We are safe and no damage to any of our property or cats.

5 days no electricity, drinking bottled water. Very minor for us. Most of the area still without electricity I think.

It was a bit scary. I'll have to admit.
