Hey all. When moving to the US from Europe, I brought my dear beloved D10. I modified the power supply (that is - I moved a lead from the 240V pin on the transformer to the 120V pin). Everything worked great, until one day it wouldn't power on. Or rather - it powered on, and the top half of the display lit up, but I never get the 'ROLAND D10' message that normally shows up.
Hey, mine did that just did that whilst my Daughter was playng some stuff....the D-10 started playing random noise plus some notes as well.
Anyone have any idea what might have happened? One thing I speculated in at first was the pre-transformer module, but it's designed for 220/240, so that should be fine.
not that - mine is a UK unmodded one.
Another possibility is that it just was its' time to go...
hope not....just paid for a hol in NZ, so can't afford a replacement....
Any and all tips and hints are deeply appreciated!!
I have also posted on LUGNUTS regarding this,
should anything come of it, I will update here.
