I know this has gotta be the dumbest Qn ever asked..But still I want to know from another mind!

That's not a dumb question Sunny.... A sequencer is what the keyboard uses to record songs and styles.. Hence, "16 track sequencer". "Sequencer" is the technical term for the song recorder

Maybe it`s me but does anyone else find the "sequencer" on the Y2K a little complicated?
When I had my X4500 I was using either the "built-in" seQ -or - "Cakewalk" and had no problem laying down "bass melody ,drum track ,etc.
Of course that was waaayyy back a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, Whopes,

At the time I had a Roland midi interface and a Tandy computer (junk) but it worked the only down side was the KB with only 8 notes of poly there realy wasn`t enough notes to mess up , hahahaha

For what his may be worth, the only time I've ever used on board sequencers, is when I first get the board to make sure they work.
I do all my recording to a Yamaha AW 4416 h/d recorder....not as flexible as say Sonar (which I also have and rarely use) or whatever, but a heck of alot more straight forward....push the record button and go.
