To be honest, I'm sorta like Bill. I love crawfish a couple of times a year. But it's a lot of trouble to peel 'em and you get all messy. And I don't suck the heads. (That's not as bad as it seems though.) I do love them fried though. Very much like fried shrimp but with a little extra flavor. Of course almost anything is good fried. DonM

Sorry but I tried that Old Bay seasoning here in Colorado because I couldn't find Zatarains a few years ago to boil shrimp. Now the Coloradoans stepped up and you can get Zatarains. Personally the Old Bay does not compare with the Zatarains for the Cajun boiled shrimp taste. That Old Bay is a Yankee thing. Ha! Ha! Of course I've never had steamed shrimp. I always boil em! Send me a couple of yours’ steamed. I'll be able to make a decision just after two shrimp. The size doesn't matter. Bigger does not taste better. Case in point. All you can get in Colorado is giant King Crab. I don’t throw them in the garbage. I will eat them. But if you had them sitting next to the New Orleans Lake Pnchartrain crabs, I’d let you have the King Crab. I’d have to work harder with the Ponchatrain crabs to peel them but to me it would be worth it. I can peel Shrimp and or Crawfish faster than you can say PRS3000. As a matter of fact I can peel em faster than you can say Yamaha. Ha! Ha! No offense friend!

A.J. It's too hard for working musicians to get off on Saturday. DanO: The main event is Sunday, April 30. I know some are coming earlier and some will stay for Monday. The main Jam will be Sunday. Dreamer: I haven't reached James yet. I called and he is out of town. He could play a cigar box with rubber bands on it and make it sound good! DonM

Monday has been added for the gigging musicians or those who will be busy on Saturday. You'll have to call in advance and confirm you'll be coming for this date. I have just modified my flight plans to depart Jacksonville on Tue. instead!
Jacksonville is a bit of a stretch for a poverty stricken songwriter but I sure hope you'll be able to join us at the semi-jam.
Just in case some of the attendees need to attend Mass or Church on Sunday evening, Grandfather Mason can quickly become "Father O'Mason" and turn his collar around to hear your confession. If you're involved in music and/or keyboards (especially arrangers) your sins are bound to be many! (O'Rice included!)
Hope to see you there. Bring an extra napkin or two for cleaning up after devouring mudbugs.

I'm wanting to set up a bank account where any of you guys that are interested can donate money to a fund for acquiring plane tickets for Fran's girls to come to the Semi-Jam in Shreveport. Act soon! It’s getting late. You can wire transfer the money through Western Union to Boo Hargis please just send small amounts of $5000 or less. Don’t tell Western Union , the FBI or the IRS what the money is for OK.
