Donny I agree the enthusiasm he once had did not shine thru in that demo.

I have enjoyed watching this video and the S700 live grand piano effect is great just like watching a movie.
I wan't to know whether this effect came from keyboard or created in video recording?can we get that same grand piano sound effect heard in this video directly from s700/900 built-in speakers?

Thanks
Sunny.

Of course you can hear the great piano sound through the built in speakers, Sunny...that beautiful piano sound is called Live! Grand and it is a stunner, isn't it?

There were no effects added to the sound of the S700, so you were hearing it naturally.

I hope they'll prove me wrong. - Scott

Hi Scott,

I've been doing very well. Have missed our conversations of course!
I certainly hope that Yamaha will provide a new firmware. However, I tend to think that you may be right. I think that it would be a very easy firmware upgrade. IMO
I am always hopeful that I will show up on this forum and see a new thread that says "New Tyros 2 Firmware". Unfortunately I haven't seen that statement in along time.
But I keep holding on to the dream. It is still the Flagship keyboard for Yamaha. So as long as that is true there is still hope.
Keep on believin'

Does anyone else think that it could be a firmware update for the Tyros 2?

The Tyros 2 currently doesn't save sequences on power down?

This would probably explain the absence of the ol' lithium battery from current keyboards and midi devices, correct?

If the Tyros 2 doesn't have USB,what kind of crazy world are we living in?

I mean, the MO has USB for petes sake!

Tyros 2 has always had USB, (Although only USB 1.1) however it records audio direct to its internal hard drive, (So it remains on power down) whereas S900 uses a USB stick. (Which also means it’s stored on power down)
Hope this clears a few things

Bill

Michel Voncken's demonstration skills are very good. But I think that he is very fat and he need to fine down. In addition, I like he sit down instead of standing when he is demonstrating the keyboard.
