Hi Fran,thanks,I might consider either one,depending on which one I find. Both weight about the same...
I prefer no speakers at all,like you. But if I find an EM-2000 for a good price I think I'll get one...both the g1000 and the em2000 weight about the same

I'll second all the good comments about G1000s. Best plastic action on the planet! Very reliable (gigged mine 24/7 for eight years!) and a CHORD SEQUENCER..... the best practice and songwriting tool you could ask for.

I have a friend with a G1000 AND a G70, and he still uses the G1000 for all arranging functions because of the chord sequencer.....!

the chord sequencer seems a very useful feature indeed...that's pretty good.
