The heart of a Wersi sound system uses an OEM version of the Creamware DSP cards using the scope platform.

Wersi of course produces its own sounds and effects; however it still uses the scope platform.
On top of this, the Wersi can also use VST instruments in combination with its own sounds.

Wersi has a niche market, in Italy for example is completely unknown, (in Italy organ market is completely dead, and I do not know of any italian dealer that sells Wersi keyboards), so I was never able to hear a wersi instrument live.
And hearing the various demos on the Internet didn't impress me much about the sound quality, perhaps hearing one live is a different story, but I never had the chances to do so, and to play one.
However, regarding the sounds I heard on internet, I think these instruments costs way too much for the sound they deliver. If the price would be aligned to the other TOTL arrangers, I think they could sell many more of these, since these could become a viable alternative... still if there is a dealer that would want to import Wersi in Italy...
