If you have Windows XP, just select the recording file name, right click with the mouse, and you will see an option to "convert audio format". Click on that and select an MP3 format and size, like 320. Then follow the directions, and it will convert automatically to MP3.

Mo this is not rocket science ......
I am hoping you can figure out how to post your songs or email them to someone to post.
I for one would love to listen to them for sure.....good luck.

The problem, Donny, is that to someone with NO computer savvy, it IS rocket science until you learn what to do .... I remember the struggles I had early on trying to learn the same stuff ...
Mo's situation is made a little more difficult in that he has a mac, which not many of us are familiar with ...
Any mac geeks out there to lend a hand?

it's also not rocket science for someone with a bit of patience and a teaching background (as many here have) to chop it into a step-by-step for a neophyte.
I never want to hear complaints from u guys about how bad the manuals are from the manufacturers again. it's exactly the same, you object that they assume too much knowledge and don't understand that u need simple incremental steps to understanding.

What if i was trying to tell someone who just got fist computer to "download". think they would know what that was? if i had to teach what i know here so far, i would say, "open the Cd case, take out the CD, hit the eject button, place cd facedown on tray, hit button again to close tray, computer will bring up CD icon in a little bit." now assume he knows NOTHING after that..how would lead him thru it? would you say "convert to mp3" and expect him to do anything but HUH?.

Being this is a Mac....which I am not familiar with, using a PC I guess Diki would be the one to talk to or get in touch with since I recall him saying he always uses one .....correct? Should be a cinch for him to show you what to do to post your tunes.

Mo ... you are absolutely right ... Perhaps the problem is that no one read that you were using a mac, which you specified ... otherwise I think the comments might have been helpful ...
Even though I had a fair amount of 'business computer' experience, I remember going through the same growing pains when I started using the PC for music ...
Hopefully a mac user will come to your aid...
t.

PS: I look forward to hearing your music.

as far as the cover jpg....you might have to scan the picture>save it to a jpg file> then added it to your post on the SZ using the image HTMl code.

Donny,
wasn't intending a reprimand re rocket science remark, was not offended just was making a point about difficulty learning a new thing without patient incremental instruction.

not sure mac is all that different from pc..
lets assume i can get my cuts into a file for export (whatever that means lol)on my mac,
parameters should be same after that no? so anyone want to have a go from that point to
a public website to SZ post?

I don't need to scan cd covers, I have them
as jpgs on my desktop.
