Oh, and that video (of the C1) just goes to show how important it is to either get the legs kit, or have a keyboard stand like a QuikLok WS540 that supports the organ at all four corners.

You can't play piano well if it's bouncing while you play, nor an organ...! (In fact, only accordions should bounce!)

Yep...great stuff...you really tell how efficient the action is...repetitions, slides and smears are done so well.

Can't do that on a semi-weighted synth action...response wouldn't be quick enough.

Some fine playing.

Thanks for the links Chas.

I don't understand. Why can't I just do like you and send a factory demo?

But here are several people talking about Yamaha expression pedals, or Roland ones, that are nothing LIKE the B3's... Does anyone make a volume pedal (or expression) that is IDENTICAL to the B3's?

Quote from the Nord brochure:

"In the Nord C1, the swell pedal is used for more than just volume control - the frequency response characteristics of the original organs are modeled as well, providing the subtle, but integral, timbral response a swell should provide. The C1’s hardware architecture supports of a wide array of expression pedals from different manufacturers so that you have the perfect volume swell in every situation."

Diki, as I said before, the Behringer pedal works very well. Although there is no 'Behringer' setting on the pedal menu, the Fatar setting works perfectly and is smooth throughout the range.

Hey Chas, it's your choice..do you want us to "Luv" ya or not?

BTW when I put up a factory demo..it is because someone wanted to hear a specific keyboard they did not have access to..like the E-60...

We already heard enough of the C1 you tube tunes...we wanted to hear a real organist play the C1..as you mentioned ..you are...so stop the dilly dally..and let's hear ya!!!!!!!!!!!

Chas,

The volume pedals are given a "swell pedal" response from within the Nord C1.

The swell pedal on a B-3 is not linear...but of course you probably already know that.

Fran, I'll say it once and for all; I'm not going to let you (or your buddy) bait me into doing anything I don't want to do. Maybe you've already forgotten the response you got to YOUR posted music. You and Donny started bad-mouthing the C1 from the second you knew I had one with no motive other than your dislike for me. Why then would I ever expect to get anything other than more bad-mouthing from the two of you, even if I sounded like Jimmy Smith; oh wait, Donny doesn't hold Jimmy in that high a regard either ("Jimmy doesn't hold a candle to Tony Monaco" ---um, even his staunchest supporters had to wince at that one).

Here's another thing. Probably only 10% of the members here even LIKE jazz organ. For another, even less probably like me. I would have to be pretty masochistic to let you and Donny bait me into posting on this board. Sorry guy, nice try.

As far as emailing you a clip, wouldn't that have the effect of giving you my email address? And isn't there some kind of history of email abuse from some people here? I don't know, guess I'll have to check with Scott Yee.

Want to hear me play, Fran? Come to Atlanta. Make sure you bring enough cash for the cover charge.
