You're right, Chas. I think I'll use the Elecro on my right hand when I work with my drummer as a duo. That would give me good piano sounds, other good sounds and I'd be all color coordinated (yea, I really care about that)!

I use the Electro with an arranger occasionally, but would use the C-1 as the primary portable B-3 (no arranger). Can't wait to get it! I'll be able to work the two primary jazz clubs in the area 4-5 times a month, schedule permitting (mine). Much prefer this type work to using an arranger. On these jobs you either can cut it or it's real obvious that you can't. Been wanting to play these places for a while, but couldn't justify moving the B-3.

Naaa Chas, my post wasn't really about the C1...It probably is a neat keyboard..maybe someday I might even get one...but at nearly $2,200, it isn't on my must have list..

Three band-mates I played with years ago want to start a small R&B group...they used to help me "hump" around my old B-3 and two Leslie 147RV.

I like the idea of the dual manuals so close together like the B-3...you can't get that with two synths on a keyboard stand, and it would be so cool to have quick firing action...again like my old B-3.

The "drawbuttons" shouldn't be a problem.

The local music store is bringing one in...if the group idea flies, and I like the C1 as much as I think I will, then there will be three of us on the outside.

Fran, if you can find one for 2200.00, I'd grab it. The best price I've seen for a new one is 2795.00; 2895.00 at some online stores. Of course, Benny (Cintioli) might always have one that just 'fell off the truck' .

It doesn't have to fall off a truck to get a deal from Benny...My guess he would even sell a C1 to you for around $2,300..

BTW guys I think the G70 is even a great value as a piano/ draw bar organ/ synth keyboard..even without the arranger/ vocal harmonizer etc..

I really like to be able to grab multiple bars at the same time when playing organ..I would definitely miss the bars on a C1..

Naah...you'd get used to them,...they are probably more durable than sliders and just as accurate as drawbars.

The chorus/vibrato on the C1 is a killer as well...that's real important for true B-3 emulation, and something that is not well implemented on the G70.
