Hi Hellboy,
Just wanted to ask where you were able to get a loaner system from to try them? If I recall your website you are in Queensland? I am interested in the system as well. Everything I have read, system specs, peoples reviews, points toward a great and easy to use PA.
Would you mind letting me know? I am on far south coast of NSW so maybe your store wouldn't be able to help, but if I can quote a name of a store that allows a demo, to one closer to me they might be more willing to offer a trial. Its a lot to spend without a "hands-on"
Cheers,
Dennis

Al, I was going to force my wife to drive me to his store this past Saturday.(can't drive yet due to the surgery) He had 1 on order, Korg told him it would be delivered to him this past Friday. I guess when it wasn't delivered Frank called Korg, they informed him it was on back order.

Dennis,

I got a loaner (for at least a week) from MUSICLAB in Brisbane (Bowen Hills).

Just signed a piece of paper with my license and was good to go.

What would help you more is the fact that Billy Hydes also are Bose distributors and have good connections with Musiclink (based in Melbourne) who are the ones everyone really have to deal with.

The only reason I didn't buy it from Billy's is they required a $1000 deposit (on your Credit Card) that's refundable should you not like the system of course.

Musiclab did it all for free....

Give your nearest Billy Hydes a call - especially if you have room on your Credit Card.

I definitely think you'll find SOMEWHERE that is willing to Try-before-you-Buy.

Here's a Bose dealer locator Link.

(sorry, hope that works - otherwise try Bose.com.au

Thanks m8, will give that a go. I reckon that Billy Hydes is the way to go, just as long as they dont blame you for a scratch and then not refund the $'s
Cheers

You're a solo act right?

Just get 2 subs and you'll be fine.

You CAN get away with one, but it's nice to have the extra headroom and richer tone - you don't HAVE to turn it up, and of course you have the option to just bring one sub with smaller venues.

I operate on the principal that I'd rather have something and not need it, then not have something and need it...err or something like that!

Please feel free to ask anymore questions either publicly or via email before, during or after your gigs.

Wow, Steve. Your braver than me.

I could NEVER force my wife to do anything.

As a matter of fact, in 2004 when I had knee surgery, after getting home from the hospital, instead of going to the Pharmacy to get my prescription pain killers she instead went to a Parent/Teacher conference for one of my kids and blew off getting me my pain meds!! I had to go through the night with Tylenol!

Isn't there a song that goes "WHOOOO DO YOU LOVE?" Sounds like she answered that question for you.

Al, I let you in on a secret I never married until 42 years of age. Talk about wanting to be sure!! Maybe I should be that careful buying keyboards.

Thanks Hellboy, I will..Yes I am a solo... The L1 system looks like it comes with a sub in the pics on the website, you don't think its enough? I do have additional subs and amps, but I was sorta hoping the L1 would allow me to do away with them.
Also just the one tower array?? Does it have a big enough sound to cover the room in your experience so far?
Thanks again, its a lot of money and I need to be sure, probably even before I arrange a demo.
Cheers
Dennis
